To produce the maximum combined power*, PLUG-IN HYBRID technology brings together:
*165kW/225hp driving
*The reserve can set aside power for 6 miles, 12 miles or the entire battery.
^ Full MPG, C02 and electric range legals can be found at the bottom of this page.
Full-electric driving is available in all these modes, depending on the battery's charge level and type of driving.
*Electric mode is selected by default when starting the car
**Only available with the variable damping (AMVAR). Standard, optional, or not available depending on the version
The "BRAKE" function slows the vehicle down without using the brake pedal by simply pulling the gear lever back.
Working as an engine brake, it also charges the battery.
The driver can select this function from the gear lever, in any of the driving modes.
The PLUG-IN HYBRID engine makes it possible to cut CO2 emissions to 38 g/km WLTP^.
In all-electric mode, there are no CO2 emissions while running.

The charging flap is on the car's left rear left wing*.
The charging cable is easy to stow away in a specific space under the boot floor.
To have the full driving capacity in all-electric mode (33 miles WLTP^ / 40 miles NEDC^) and enjoy the fuel consumption savings of a plug-in hybrid, the battery must be fully charged.
*Symmetrical with the fuel flap

The charging flap provides a courtesy light, information on the charging status, and locking of the cable into the vehicle when the vehicle is locked.
The battery charging time depends on the power of the charging point and of the charger*.
*On board charger power – standard 3.7kW, optional 7.4kW.
You will need to buy an accessory cable if you wish to charge from a domestic socket, as we do not recommend this as a daily charging solution.
Charging from a Type 2 (Mode 3) dedicated electric vehicle charging point is the recommended way to charge your vehicle on a daily basis. This cable is provided as standard with the vehicle.
Warners can assist with a home charging point installation
The majority of public charging points in the UK are Type 2 sockets, which will charge your vehicle at the accelerated charge times listed, depending on the power of the charging point and your on board charger.

MPG, CO2 & ELECTRIC RANGE LEGAL STATEMENT
^The fuel consumption or electric range you achieve, and CO2 produced, in real world conditions will depend upon a number of factors: including the accessories fitted (post registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load. There is a new test (WLTP*) for fuel consumption, CO2 and electric range figures. However, the CO2 figures shown are NEDC equivalent, calculated using EC correlation tool which converts WLTP figures to NEDCeq** figures and will be used to calculate tax for first registration. Figures shown are for comparability purposes; you should only compare fuel consumption, CO2 and electric range with other vehicles tested using the same technical standard. The 508 HYBRID is a plug-in hybrid vehicle requiring mains electricity for charging. The figures displayed for this vehicle were obtained using a combination of battery power and fuel. Information correct at time of issue.
*WLTP - Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure. **NEDCeq - New European Driving Cycle.
