MICHAEL WARNER

It is with great sadness that we are mourning the sad loss of a key figure in our 105-year history with the passing of Michael Warner, aged 77 on the 29th December at his home in Twyning, surrounded by his loving family.

In a statement confirming his death, his daughter Annabel Rayer paid tribute to her father saying “he had been a true stalwart of the Gloucestershire business community. He leaves a huge gap in our lives and big shoes to fill. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him, and especially those who worked for him for many years at WARNERS”.

Michael was also dedicated to the Gloucestershire business community. WARNERS sponsorship and partnership initiatives under Michael’s leadership has seen keen support for Gloucester Rugby during the club’s journey to professional status as well as support for the RHS Malvern Spring Show and a host of local charities. This support will continue.

Our deepest condolences go to Michael’s widow Rosie and the family.

The running of WARNERS will continue in the accomplished hands of Mark Jones, Managing Director.
