Engines
2.2l HDi 130 and 150
These engines respectively develop 96 kW with torque of 320 Nm at 1,800 rpm, and 110 kW with torque of 350 Nm at 1,750 rpm. These characteristics make them ideal for multi-drop urban use as well as for longer journeys.
2.0l BlueHDi
As part of the approval process, the new 2.0l BlueHDi engine spent over 10,000 hours on a test bench and was test driven for over 1,300,000 km. The exhaust system uses the PSA Group’s additive particulate filter system, over 10 million of which have been manufactured since 2001. The engine also includes a direct fuel injection rail with optimised pressure of 1,800 bars.
BlueHDi TECHNOLOGY
BlueHDi is the name given to the PSA Group’s Euro 6 diesel engines, allying efficiency with fuel economy. This technology slashes nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by over 90%, while also reducing CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
The arrival of Stop & Start technology on all these engines contributes to one of the lowest levels of fuel consumption on the market. Fuel savings rise by a further 0.5 l/100 km in the city, with an average reduction in CO2 emissions of 5g/km over a combined cycle.
Particulate filter
The particulate filter technology featured on all PEUGEOT Boxer engines cuts pollutant emissions to barely measurable levels while maintaining engine efficiency.
