Incentives for Plug-In Driving

With ever-increasing environmental awareness, and the drive for the UK to reduce the impact of motoring on the environment, there are a range of incentives available for drivers making the transition to electric motoring.

Financial & Tax Incentives for Drivers

Plug In Car Grant

WHAT? - 35% of price, up to £2,500 off the price of your PEUGEOT battery electric car. Cars must cost less than £35,000. This is the recommended retail price (RRP), and includes VAT and delivery fees.
HOW? - Deducted off invoice by the supplying Dealer

Plug-In Van Grant

WHAT? - 35% of price, up to £3,000 off the price of a small PEUGEOT battery electric van < 2.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight and up to £6000 for larger vans 2.5-3.5t GVW. Eligible vans have CO2 emissions of less than 50g/km and can travel at least 96km (60 miles) without any emissions at all.

WHAT? - Zero or low rates Benefit In Kind tax for company car drivers. This significantly reduces the price you would pay vs a petrol or diesel car PEUGEOT vehicle.

Road Fund Licence (RFL) and Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) Exempt

First Year: £0 payable for battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in HYBRID electric vehicle (PHEV) vehicles costing less than £40,000.
From year 2: £0 for BEV and £135 for PHEV (£10 saving vs petrol / diesel powertrains)

First Year: not charged on the vehicle invoice from your supplying Dealer.
From Year 2: car tax still needs to be renewed by the owner/driver, even for BEVs with £0 payable.

​Charging Point Grant for Home

WHAT? - 75% up to £500 off a charging point for your home, under the government Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS), known as the OLEV Grant.
HOW? - Deducted off-invoice by your charging point supplier, subject to them being approved and you meeting the criteria (for example, you must operate an electric vehicle and have off street parking and, where applicable, landlord permission)

WHAT? - A £500 contribution for every charging point your company purchases, up to 20 sockets across all sites per eligible business, charity or public sector organisation, to a maximum of £10,000 under the government Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS).
